New video on BKWine TV: César Compadre is France’s only journalist at a daily paper dedicated 100% to wine and spirits. He writes for the Sud-Ouest paper, based in Bordeaux. BKWine TV met César this spring, and who better to talk to about the future of Bordeaux?

Interview with Cesar Compadre on the current situation and the future of Bordeaux. Cesar Compadre is a reporter in South West Group, 100% dedicated to wines and spirits.We talk about the 2009 vintage – an excellent vintage, a great success for the reds, whites, and for the soft / sweet.

Then Cesare Compadre talks about the difficult situation in the wine industry in Bordeaux as well as in other wine regions. Sales in 2009 were down 10%, 20% or 30%.

So what are the paths to take for the future. There is a major reform of appellations. It is néssecaire to give confidence to consumers regarding the quality of wine in the bottle.

Then, the fragmented and broke the wine sector is a source of difficulties. Today we see a consolidation in the sector.

Donc, quels sont les chemins à prendre pour le future. Il y a une grande réforme des appellations. Il est néssecaire de donner de la confiance au consommateur en ce qui concerne la qualité du vin dans la bouteille.

Ensuite, le caractère fragmenté et éclaté du secteur du vin est une des sources des difficultés. Aujourd’hui nous voyons une consolidation du secteur.
