Gigondas is a small appellation in the southern Rhône valley that has almost become a little bit forgotten. For a while it has perhaps not been among the most dynamic of wine regions but more recently it has seen something you could almost call a renaissance. Today there are several interesting producers in Gigondas. Raspail-Ay is probably the best known but there are many others.
