Some countries are primarily associated with one grape variety, such as malbec in Argentina and sauvignon blanc in New Zealand. However, this latter country makes wine from a variety of other grapes (and so does Argentina by the way).
Here are recommendations for those of you who want to try something other than sauvignon blanc from New Zealand. With its relatively cool climate, compared to other New World countries, the wines here often get a good crispness and acidity, be it red or white.
