“My background is tourism management and my newly acquired hobby, wine, has become my second profession. After earning my Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Certificate in London, I began to teach wine with an emphasis on Armenian Wines. I intensified my attention on wine tourism and projects related to sustainable tourism.”
“How did I become interested in wine in the first place? While working in Santorini as a student I was told about the unique volcanic “terroir” of the island. Then I tasted some vin santo wine. That was all it took. A new world had just been opened for me. Now based in Armenia, I travel every summer to the place which is my origin, Greece. I discover the wine routes of northern Greece, study Greek grape varieties and, of course, taste wine! Armenia and Greece are now both my home countries and are both old and historic wine producing countries.”
