An interview with Sofia Uva whose family own Herdade da Mingorra. Her father Henrique Uva, chief winemaker, established it as an independent private winery a few years ago although it has been owned by the family since long. They make a range of interesting wines from Portuguese grape varieties such as Antao Vaz, Verdelho, Perrum, Aragnones and many more. Their range includes some very affordable wines up to the two premium cuvees Vinhas da Ira (Grapes of Wrath!) and the original Uvas Castas that is a blend of Douro and Alentejo grapes.
Winery: Adega de Herdade da Mingorra / Vinhos Henrique Uva, Alentejo, Portugal.
