BKWine among WBI’s Major Wine Media Players

WBI looks at Scandinavia, China, Russia, Germany, UK, US and Brazil

Wine Business International Wine Media Power List FrontMeininger’s Wine Business International (WBI) is an eminently readable magazine about … the business of wine. In their June issue they looked at wine media across the globe and attempted to identify which are the major players in press and media in different countries.

Interesting but of course impossible exercise, who is influential in wine press and wine media.

But we are of course immensely proud to have made it to the Swedish “power list of wine media”.

We give you some details for Scandinavia and for the rest of the world, based on WBI’s analysis.

The Swedish list of Major Wine Media Players:

  • Bengt-Göran Kronstam, columnist in the daily Dagens Nyheter and editor of Allt om Vin (“all about wine”)
  • Mikael Mölstad, columnist in the daily Svenska Dagbladet and editor of Allt om Vin (“all about wine”) (indeed)
  • Jens Dolk, columnist in the Expressen evening paper and on TV
  • Håkan Larsson, editor of Allt om Vin (“all about wine”) (getting a bit crowded perhaps?) and author
  • Britt Karlsson, freelance wine writer, award winning author and editor of BKWine Magazine (that you are currently reading)

This is what WBI says:

Wine Business International on Britt KarlssonBritt Karlsson

France-Based Britt Karlsson writes about wine and arranges wine trips together with her husband Per Karlsson. She runs the excellent wine web site BKWine.com (in Swedish and in English), which distributes a newsletter for wine enthusiasts and professionals. Britt Karlsson’s book on winemaking, Ett vin blir till (A wine is created), with photos by her husband Per, was voted best wine book in the world for professionals at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards.

We at the editorial team at BKWine Magazine are honoured and proud. A big thank you to Tore Scheel who composed the list for Sweden as well as for Denmark and Norway.

It is interesting to also look at what Meininger’s WBI says about other countries too.

The whole feature is long and contains a lot of useful information and analysis. And as an added benefit you get to read the rest of the magazine too!

    1. Totally agree. It’s a bit like selecting the “best” wine. There are always plenty that should have been on the list and that aren’t there!
